How the Kerala lottery ticket checker works

Type the number exactly as printed, with or without spaces: KA 123456, KA123456, or the draw prefix as well, KR 768 KA 123456. If you type only the six digits, the checker can still find consolation and ending prizes, but it needs the two series letters to confirm a 1st, 2nd or 3rd prize. Then choose the draw named on your ticket. The draw number, such as KR-768, is printed near the lottery name.

1. The full number (series and six digits) is compared with the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize tickets.
2. The six digits are compared with the first prize; a match in a different series is a consolation prize.
3. The last four digits are compared with every "tickets ending with" list from the 4th prize down to the 9th. Bumper draws also use five and six-digit endings, which the checker handles.
4. If several tiers match, the highest prize is shown, which is how the department pays.

The checker uses the same result data as the result pages, transcribed from the department's official PDF and validated automatically. It is a convenience: always confirm a win against the official result linked on the draw's page before claiming, and never discard a ticket on the basis of a checker alone.

After you win

Sign the back of the ticket. Prizes up to ₹5,000 are paid by any lottery shop on the spot. Larger prizes are claimed within 90 days at a District Lottery Office, a nationalised bank, or the Directorate of State Lotteries for amounts above ₹1 lakh, with a claim form, photographs, PAN and Aadhaar copies and bank details.
